Hmmm...
rebuilt k-26 is $600 or so
rebuilt DME is $500 or so
KLR = $$$?
OE cat back is $700 or so, OE headers is $1200 or so, OE cat is $600 or so
OE clutch is $450 or so
if you are paying somebody to replace all of that stuff, you will probably have to pay for at least 20 hours of shop labor
I personally would do:
K27 hybrid ($900) or garrett turbo ($1000 and up)
SFR 3" cat back exhaust ($500)
2.5" mild steel test pipe ($250)
get headers weleded ($200)
cup clutch ($400 and up)

For a lot of things (for example, exhaust) it will be cheaper to go aftermarket than OEM. K27 turbo is the turbo off of the 930 (older 911 turbo) and has more flow. A K27 hybrid has the quick spooling action of the K26 (stock 951 turbo) with the increased flow (read more HP) of the K27. You can get aftermarket clutches with more clamping force that can take more abuse cheaper than the stock clutch. The manifold can usually be welded instead of being replaced, which is significantly cheaper. I don't know if porsche still manufacturers the computers for these cars, but you can have the DME (Don't know about the KLR) rebuilt for $500ish. For some things, OEM is cheaper (like the boge shocks/struts) but other things aftermarket is cheaper.

What about getting used DMEs?any problem with that?these are not like maintenence stuff right?even after a lot of miles they should be fine.....right?
