Post tune-up 944 NA

Anybody have any helpful hints/tips on tuning up a early 944?

Bosche conciders your fuel injectors and your O2 sensor "tuneup" parts. Gunk in your throttle body will make your car idle rough, as will vaccum leaks.

There's a limited amount you can doto a 944, in the classic sense of "tune-up."

Plugs, & if needed or questionable, wires, cap & rotor.

Timing is controlled by DME, so you don't adjust it. No condensor or points (my age is showing....).

Check air filter & fluids. As Tabor said, clean throttle body if needed (likely). Maybe a can of fuel system cleaner. Inspect belts & hoses. R&R fuel filter unless you know when it was done. Maybe replace wiper blades? Check tire pressures.

What have we missed?

Take a test drive. Grin _real_ big.
