Post Front spoiler

My front spoiler on my 1989 944NA has seen its better days. Recently, I saw in a magazine or catalog with a replacement spoiler that was much cheaper than OE. It was black plastic and it was pictured on a 944NA. It looked really sweet just flat black but the ad said you could paint it if you wish. It was on a red 944NA. Does anyone recall seeing one of these anywhere? If so, please let me know where. As I said, I need a new spoiler but I ain't gonna pay OE prices.

All plastic body parts come as the color they are moulded from.. They all need to be painted.. unless you find a used one the color you need..They are painted the same as the car..

anyone recommend (or not recommend) using 944 gt racing valences, front and rear (201, 231, 233) parts for street use, namely in exchange for damaged/dented steel?

price is steep, but in a practical sense?

TIA

Check out www.fiberwerks.com
They have some more affordable front valences, spoilers, rocker panels, rear valences, even rear wings to replace the standard rubber 944 spoilers. The front valence available for the NA 944 allow one to use the same fog and parking lights without having to buy the Turbo light package.

Does anyone have any commments on the front spolier from fiberwerks. My front spoiler is damaged and it needs replacement. I have considered the one from fiberwerks, but I can't afford to spring for a 2500 paint job. Does anyone know if the front spoiler from fiberwerks will match, at least somewhat, an alpine white 944. Obviously not looking for perfect match but a decent one.

Thanks.

In any case, having a plastic part painted to match shouldn't cost $2,500. Even if you supply the paint. Just make certain the person doing the jop puts a flexing agent in the paint or it will craze over time or with any undue motion.

Good luck!!!

wow thanks, i've seen this one before. no feedback for gt-racing? there was a post awhile ago (< 2 weeks?) about how people were trying to change out a na to turbo look, and most said it was a PITA, tricky, but do-able. doing searches on boards.rennlist.com for some reason doesn't work on those threads.

nonetheless, paint jobs might be expensive, but some cars just need it more than others. thanks mr agent man.

speaking of which...

you guys should check out an article in Excellence mag (August 01)... there's a thing on how to install the rear valence on the 944. Interesting and quite informative.

how come they're not online? or are they? <shrug> anyone..?
