And +1 to coming out through the top. It's pretty easy. Here's a link: http://944lux.blogspot.com/2012/04/e...peasy.html?m=1

The clutch fork along with the rest of the clutch assembly is inside the bell housing and completely separate from the flywheel once the 9 bolts are out.

It is a physical impossibility for the clutch fork to impede in any way unless he did not remove the bolts.

Is the aluminum sleeve for the reference sensor out?

There is not even a sensor bracket in the block let alone sleeves... look at the pix.

I like to take out the clutch fork pin with a slide hammer. Undo the little bolt that's holding it in place, then thread in an M8 bolt into the pin, use the little claw foot on my cheap Harbor Freight slide hammer, and with a tap-tap, it's out.

The clutch pin has to come out. I had one frozen and ended having to cut the bell housing out in little chunks.

The only place where he could run into issues is where the TT shaft sits in the pilot bearing.

The clutch fork shaft is not his problem.

torque tube hung up in pilot bearing. The motor mounts were so weak on mine that I had to jack the engine level to pull back on the ttube to get it out of the clutch bellhousing. For the record, bottom removal.
