The more I look and think about this car the more I think its FN brilliant vs. "rice"!

Exactly! LIGHT body, BIG motor, still Porsche!!

A body that was obviously stripped to the bare shell to be painted a modern factory color

Looks nothing like a STOCK 300ZX. Looks like a pretty decent, slightly ugly, mod. Got rid of the long, heavy, ugly stock bumper and replaced it with a light weight set up that flow more air to cool the 968 motor! (which a stock 944 front was never intended to cool). Added a lightweight hood to shave the insanely heavy stock hood!!

Then there is the big FACTORY spoiler that is color matched like EVERY modern Porsche since about 1989. (even the 968 and S2 had color matched spoilers).

"Race seats" trimmed in nice matching leather

Big brake upgrade to match the more modern power

Nice wheels with color matched accents, just like Porsche offers on new cars.

Honestly, I don't see the hate for this car at all Wish more people here would FN step up and build stuff like this. Porsches weren't meant to be subtle!

If a 911 or 356 guy had done a similar level of mods we would be bowing down and praising the ground the owner walked on

Cole, I don't want to argue with you here. I can justify want the owner did with the car as different. I was merely trying to show a different example of a car that was out there for sale. Whether you think it's rice or not is your opinion and that is fine. The car does look like a 300ZX in the front though. Again, my bumper cost me 2K to be shipped from Japan... and it was still called an ugly DelSol. To each their own.

Yea, that car has a look that apparently no one wants. It's a shame since it has a 968 motor. If he went Euro bumpers or even kept it stock it would have probably already sold. (even in that godawful color. )

??

Because the lights are visible and not popup? Its certainly not the bumper!

Cause Porsche never did the visible light thing on the GTS cars

No matter if you like the front bumper or not..the bottom line is that its a nice car and any of us would take it if the price and time would be right.

I, for one, would buy it if i were looking for a fast 944...it has great upgrades like the 968 engine and the big brakes. The wheels are decent, i'd have them painted in one color. I'd sell the kokeln bumper and get the 951 bumper. the interior needs a bit of tweaking but its a great start for a great car !

Jeebus. You could get a Fiat 500 stuck in the front of that last yellow one.

Wow, those last three are pretty sad examples of 944s. I'm fine with most mods available because it allows for individuality, but some are just hideous.
