Question Torque setting for steering wheel

I recently replaced my steering wheel, and i don't know what the proper torque is for the bolt. I torqued it to 50 ft/lbs and stopped. I couldn't find it in the Haynes manuel, and i'm pretty sure somethings alittle loose as when i'm driving fast and straight the wheel 'rattles' a bit. If i push forward on the wheel, it seems to eliminate the problem. My guess is the bolt just isn't tight enough. Unless its a deeper problem.(BTW manual steering)

According to the specs I have (Mitchell On-Demand) the Steering Wheel Torque specs are:
Steering Wheel Nut:

944 33 Ft Lbs
928S 37 Ft Lbs

That was for Model year '86 What year / Model is yours?

It's an 83 944na. I hope i didn't over torque it then. I guess the noise is caused by something else.
