Post Replacement Hood Badge

Quick question:

The hood badge on my 86 944 is horribly faded and in need of replacement. Does anybody know if the newer style badge available for the 996 or Boxster will fit, or do I need to stay witht the older part?

Thanks,
Jeff

I replaced mine when I had my front end repainted. I thought all the hood badges were the same, but I may be wrong.

They are, although the new ones are painted slightly different colors than the old ones or something--ie a real purist can tell that you've got the "wrong year" badge on.

As long as they are the same size... I would prefer the newer one because of the different color scheme. The price isn't horribly different with the 20% off at Performance Products.

Thanks for the help!!
