Post 924 manual steering rack.

Anyone know if the lock to lock is any different between the 924 manual rack and the 944 rack w/ power steering? Are they the same minus the p/s pump or are they different racks altogether?

I think the standard manual rack has a larger lock to lock ratio. The turbo cup manual rack had a different part number, and you never know what the difference was, but it could have been a tighter ratio. The manual rack is lighter than the PS, simplifies your car for racing, and from what I hear doesn't cause trouble on the track.

Adam; Have sold many of these to the racing circle; It is my understanding that 80 and up 924 and 924 t manual racks are direct bolt ins for the 944 up to 86.I am not sure about later models tho. The part # is diff. I have heard nothing but pos comments about this swap.
