Post Rusted bolts and nuts...

I've never had to deal with extremely rusted nuts or bolts until now. ALL the nuts and bolts on the exhaust system are rusted. People have mentioned PB Blaster before, but it isn't sold in Nevada...so scratch that idea. What also works well to help remove rusted bolts?

Propane blowtorch. Otherwise, chisel and hammer.

Coca-Cola. Seriously... try it. I typically prefer the good 'ol heat wrench (torch) but sometimes I just don't feel comfortable using that (right next to a fuel line). The key is to heat the nut/bolt until it is glowing red. Then try to back it off. Don't make the mistake of holding the wrench or socket too close to the bolt though... I do that every time.

Hmmm...how about CLR? I'm going to find some Kroil, if I can't find it, then CLR, if I can't find it, then Coca-Cola, if that doesn't work, then the good ol' MAPP gas torch...

Liquid Wrench.

You can find that anywhere. Put it on this evening, and work on it tomorrow. Drink a few beers until then.
