Seriously,
1997-1999 Range Rover 4.6 HSE – fuel thirsty and depreciation sucks…
1995 Lotus Esprit S4S – I too prefer the V8. Was here a few years ago… and the newer the car the better. If you have a family this car will not work (two seater). Still, I would like to own one. Get more information in http://www.espritfactfile.com/
1979 Porsche 911 Turbo – not my first choice…
1990-1994 Porsche Carrera 2/4 – the underrated 911. Excellent cars and you can find good prices to buy one
1989 Porsche 944 Turbo S – Two cars of the same look… not my choice. I like to change, from time to time, the car that I drive… it is always good to have a choice.
1997 Volvo 850 R/T5R – Own a ’98T5. Nice family car with a good punch.
1995-1999 BMW M3 – BMW are well balanced cars in my book. Love them. Would make a nice choice.
1991-1995 Acura NSX – sweet!
? Audi A4/S4 – Not into the style. Great car, do not get me wrong, I simply do not like the style.
1992-1994 Porsche RS America – sweet!

Well my family has some expereinces with a few of these cars (A4, Rover, M3, 850R and the 944 Turbo) so i'll do my best to voice and oppnion.
The Volvo 850R was one of my favorite cars we have ever owned, and if I had a family that is what I would buy. These cars are incredible handlers and will really surprise you. That and you are invisivble to cops, really who pulls over a wagon.
The a4/s4 family of cars are also a lot of fun, upgrade the tires and you have a very competant sports car that can run with the e36 M3's without a problem. The M3's offer a bit more feel, but other wise I would say these two cars run neck in neck.
My range rover experience is that they are too expensive to maintain and depreciation is a bitch.
If I could have any car on the list and not worry about fixing it, it would be the Lotus, the S4S is IMHO one of the best looking cars ever. These things are super cars, park one next to an NSX or a 911 and see which car gets all the looks. And it is no performance slouch either. Drawback here is maintance.
If I was going to worry about maintance I would get the 911 C2 or C4 or the NSX. Don't bother with the RS america, they are overpriced for what you get, they were supposed to be stripped down but most of them don't come much better equiped than a standard 911.
It is so hard coming down to cars, and you put together a good list. Good luck.
and as a PS I would buy the 930, what a great looking car, do some shopping around and leave enough money to fix all the things that break.

Yes..I admit a well cared for 348 would be nice. But I am not going to have 50,000 to drop into a Ferrari plus afford maintenace on that plus a modded 951. Im seriously talking 30-40,000 with average maintance costs with the plan of using it or the 951 as a daily driver.
PS- Buxton is a pretty good friend of mine, you should see his 79 930 in person. Its jaw-dropping eye candy. Im just not crazy about the bright red interior. I would consider the 79 930 but by the time I was done with it it would prob be a modded car. how are they on maintenace year to year?
I want something that will be european, hold up well, very fast/very good handling, drive day in day out. the kinda car that I might not be able to own in 10 years due to other things in life. I want the ultimate used sportscar that meets my criteria and will make it to work when the 951 turns to a track car or vice versa.
I know this is confusing! Thanks for all your help guys!!

Next Car-o-mine will be the Mini Cooper S..It will handle like a dream. I love driving small, go-cart like cars. 165HP in a package smaller than a Geo will be a blast to drive. With German engineering to boot. The wife will have the minivan, I don't need much space for a daily driver.

Minis on the docks?? SCHWING!!! Glad to hear it..Unfortunately, none of them are the supercharged S's yet, I'm sure. they say those will be here in a few more months. Then, I'm 100 on a waiting list of 300 of which 80% want S's.. It'll be a while..
