Van had an awesome thread with pics going on a while back that had this exact info. Let me see if I can dig that one up... *Paging Van* haha...

Don't temp me. It was one of the first ideas that crossed my mind. I saw a belt driven kit to do this for $500, I wonder if there's an easier way. Any common junk yard cars with a dry sump? I doubt Z06 Vett's count.

Great read. Unless this guy (or one of the DPO's) replaced the engine, I'm going to guess we have a cross drilled crank, forged pistons and rods.

Here you are Healey, here's more about our car: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...light=chumpcar

Obviously, we used the ChumpCar's "approved $500 car" rule, because buying a few new parts puts you over the $500 LeMons budget. Our goal was to make a reliable car that we could give lots of noobs racing seat-time. So we rebuilt the brakes, replaced the wheel bearings, replaced the CV joints, it needed a new starter and fuel pump, replaced the clutch and we had to rebuild an engine (which, we used parts from 3 other engines... but used new gaskets, seals, bearings, rings, etc.)

With the safety equipment, you can imagine that the price crept over $500. Even ten times that... even more.
