EZPass
I finally succumbed and signed on to EZPass for those pesky NY/NJ/PA toll roads and bridges. Thought I'd try it out before the run to Lime Rock Park tomorrow. Stuck it on the windshield, went through the toll plaza, and the darn thing didn't register. Could the windshield angle be too steep for the scanner to 'see' my transponder? Any other people in the Metro area have the same problem with their cars?

I havn't had any trouble with mine, it's mounted next to the mirror (passenger side) so as not to be seen from the driver's seat. Dispite the various 5 to 20 MPH claims the state is whining about, I've found it to be 100% reliable. In the past 8 months, I have used it on the parkway, the turnpike (Giants stadium for autocrosses) and the Lincoln tunnel.
If your transponder is mounted above the mirror, it may be partially blocked by the roof, many toll plazas read from above.

I too have never had any problems with my EZpass (in fact I love it). It is in the same positon as Dave's. Make sure that it is at least an inch below the upper window tinting (the blue area that is about 4inches wide). In delaware we have EZpass lanes that are 65mph! It is just a special lane that bypasses the toll booths. That's where I leave the pesky rice boys behind.....
