Post PLease assist

I have a friend with a late 80s 944 automatic and this weekend comming of the highway the car just died ? HE states he has spark and good fule pressure. Could any one lend some insite as to what the problem might be and possible things to look for.

After messing with a coolant hose at the back of the engine I had my 951 die on the highway. Turns out I had not fully engaged the wire keepers on the connector for the speed or reference sensor that cross at the back of the motor and it had vibrated loose. Not that this is what is going on with your friend's car, but stuff like that (dying on the road) always seems to be related to something thats's been messed with on a thirteen year old car.
