Post 951 turbo water pump won't stop running

The water pump for the turbo on my 951 won't turn off when I turn the car off. It's kind of a problem because it drains the battery. Has anyone had this happen? Could it be a bad switch?

look inside the lid of your fusebox. There may be relay for the pump.
if so, yank it when you turn the car off, then get a replacement for it...

Try disconnection the sensor, it's the single wire sensor on the metal water pipe to the turbo, just inder the right side on the intake. It will then default to about 30 seconds on every time you shut down. If your still running disconnect the wires to the pump until you figure out the problem.

That pump is not doing much to cool the turbo, as long as your not hammering it all day you will be fine until you want to deal with it.

The 951 has a electric water pump that cools the turbo after you shut off the engine.
