You mean that old, useless AK-47 design? I know, it isn't any good at all. They are being actively supported by Russia. They are even being shipped rockets.

Tabor, I hope you ment the Kalashnikov coment as a joke, otherwise you are on my permanent dope list. It is still a fine weapon for abuse in the field.

Yes, it was inteded as sarcasm. I would much rather have an AK-47/74 in my hands than a AR-15. And yes, I have fired both. But mainly, I have taken both apart.

Thumbs down

Ice -thx. you see , I faced that AK in 66-67.I can tell you first hand they are no joke.Nor are the people we are engaging either. 10 yrs of battle hardened people don't walk away. And it is their terrain and backyard. The good thing is ,I have not seen this country so united in 50 yrs. USA-still the best country in the world.

Actually, when you think about it, the AK-47 and the Porsche 944 have a lot in common:

a) Old, but
b) Classic design
c) Inexpensive, yet
c) Great bang for buck
d) Both have been taken apart (and presumably put together again) by Tabor
e) It would be a _really_ bad idea to let Craig944 anywhere near either...

I go by the one shot, one kill. So my gear weighed more. And I have a problem with the spray and pray. I don't know why we (USA) are so afraid of these bastards. I lost friends in WTC. Terror, Crush them and sew 'em up in pig skins.

Sorry guys, just a little touchy on the subject. That red cap , ph's, bronze, silver are not easy moments to forget. 101 airborne. Easy Ice , patience , time will tell. When the 52's are done with the carpet runs and the ground shakes ten miles away we will see who runs. Can't even begin to tell you what thats like.the red and greens will find them ,then the side mounts at 6000 per will finish it. Not even the night will help them. The real problem is not the Taliban in afghan, but the ones who are not in afghan.
