Differences between 944 na and 951 muffler?
Gents, stupid question (maybe)...
What differences, if any, are there between the parts specifying the 944 2.5L NA muffler and the part specifying the 951 muffler? The part numbers are different, but I see online "also fits 944 turbo..." etc.
For reference, I have an 88 which I am looking to put a factory muffler on (it's the only thing that's not stock) -- partly because I'd like to return it to stock, and partly because it has a small crack in it which is annoying. I can source an NA Dansk for cheap, but can't seem to track down a 951 stock muffler without paying a small fortune.
Thanks,
Matt

I have no idea.... but i'd like to bump your thread
with the I go by the theory that no oem/DOT approved style muffler belongs in the 944/68 afterworld post.
glasspacks or hollow resonators into bigger glasspacks produce the automotive equivalent of this
just my 0.02
