Post New dash buttons?

I bought my S2 from a lady, so I guess her long fingernails must be to blame for my horrendously chipped dash buttons. Specifically, the air conditioner, defogger, recirculate, and central locking buttons' pictures have been reduced to white spots. Is there somewhere I can buy these buttons? And would they be a pain to replace?

You can get them from the dealer but you better be sitting down when you hear the price. Most of the simple switches are about $40.

Besides trying to find them used on EBay, some older Porsches (and probably other cars) had decals that stuck onto the switch rather than paint. Forget where I saw the decal sheets being sold.

You could always get some masking tape, cut out tiny pictures with an Exacto knife, stick the tape on switch and paint new signs on.

Salvage Yards

I replaced all of my faded switches for about 5 bucks a switch. Then I cleaned the rest of the paint off of my old ones, put them in the empty switch holes and added my own factory looking option switches. One I plan on doing is tying the window switches and sunroof together on one switch and having an all up/down switch. Another good one I've heard of is a switch to your amp if you have a good stereo system. That way no one can hear it in town to want to steal it. Just another useless .02 for the bucket.
