finally i finished the big headgasket job on my 87 944s...it was a slow and sometimes difficult process...but over the last few weeks i did the headset, waterpump, chain tensioner, knock sensors, thermostat...etc, etc, etc.it was a good time to get in there and clean all those nooks and crannies, and check for any surprises later....i drove it last night and tonight, it still has the slightest vibration...i think one of my balance shaft pulleys is off some...anyway, thanks for all the great info i got here...and look forward to learning more about my new pride and joy...thanks all for a great site!
