Unhappy oil pump leak, almost solved?

well as an update to the oil pump area leak(i had replaced all belts, oil pump, crank, bearings, ect...,). After 2 previous tries at replacing the pump to the block without oil leaking from that mounting area, ie bad sealing with #262 loctite, i came to find out the mechanic used loctite #262 red bottle, to try and seal the pump to the block, is this why the oil leak is happening? well i got the right stuff from porsche, loctite #574 color orange. Ill be installing this tomorrow and keep you updated on the cure, what application is loctite #262 used for anyhow? is it real bad for this purpose or should that too have sealed the pump to the block? thanks for the info
