Brake conversion ?????
The saga continues...In the middle of the coversion from disc/drum to 4 disc. The donor car is an '80 931. My question is the m471 plumbing (brake lines) the same as the '78 924? Do I have to change lines to adapt to the '80 master cylinder. I know the '78 and '80 master cylinders have the same diameters for front and rear as opposed to the 944 which is stepped at 23/19 mm and requires "X" plumbing for front and rear.
I believe I can use the same lines and just plug the clutch port.
What do you think....

The brake lines are the same. Use the master cylinder off of the 931, or an '80 924 n/a (they are the same part). The '81-up m/c doesn't have the brake switch. The swap is pretty easy. Good luck! I did the conversion on an '80 n/a.

Yeah, sorry, the reason I didn't respond is that I have one genuine M471 car, and one I converted using a 944 MC, so didn't know...
Sorry,
