Exclamation Gas Mileage on 931????

I just finished 240 mile run with my 931 and I used up 6.3 Imperial galons of gas, this means My car is getting 38 mpg at an average speed of 75 mph.
Question: Is anybody getting this with thier cars?
I have owned this car for over it's lifetime, but not driven it for over 3 yrs and can't remember what it used to get.

Wow! That sounds like good mileage. Of course, I don't know the difference between imperial gallons and US gallon.

That sounds about right. The previous owner got 34mpg and I got 35mpg on my car. Funny acutally. I looked around at one time and a 931 should get 21mpg city and 27mpg highway. correct if I'm wrong. these are the figures I saw.

Brad, the reason you see deflated mileage figures from Porsche is because they tended to do that with some of the specs. Porsche rated my 931 at 150 hp stock at the flywheel and a recent dyno of my car showed 141 hp stock at the rear wheels. Obviously they've deflated their hp ratings too - mine's a 20 year old car with 200,000 km.

If you check out comparisons of the Porsche 931 to the Alfa and other cars of the day, one automotive writer did mention Porsche's tendency to 'underestimate' the performance of their cars. Maybe this was Porsche's way of ensuring a satisfied customer?

Mileage: See my post on the 928 thread (Why is that thread there anyway?) regarding mileage.
