No problem Sir Luke~

The car is still very fast, the main difference occurs when shifting into the next gear under full throttle. When I would shift into the following gear with the 6 speed anywhere above 5500 RPMs I would land right on the peak torque at 4100. Now, when I shift into the following gear from the same point I'm revving about 3600 and the engine takes a few seconds to get to 4100, then decides to pull hard again. Most people out there fail to understand how similar the 968 engine feels to a turbocharged engine. The difference between 3900 RPMs and 4100+ RPMs is like night and day, there's a very pronounced jab in your back under full acceleration right at 4100 and it keeps pulling hard till around 5900, then the torque drops off. Off the line though there really isn't much difference, as the first gears of both trannies are very close in ratio. Second and third being so much longer are where the biggest difference is felt. I'd like to do a 1/4 mile soon with the 5 speed though because I won't have to shift into 4th gear RIGHT at the end...that used to be so aggravating! The car may actually turn in the same 1/4 mile despite longer gearing by saving a shift. Hope this quenches your curiosity! -Trevor
