Good to hear about the belts etc. I recommend you find some RL 944 brothers in the next few months within an hour or so of where you live. Your local PCA is a possible source as well. Espicially the racers. Start learning more about the car mechanicals now. Then down the road buy your first WP, belts and rollers yourself. Buy your 944 buddies a case of adult beverage and invite them over to walk you through the job the first time. You'll have a lot more fun, for ALOT less than $1,800. It's really not that bad. Check out Vans videos on You Tube.
Again congrats on a great car and welcome to the tribe.

The paperwork was interesting to go by and even see the ebay and excellence magazine listing when it was sold. It was maintained well and had the work done at 30,00 miles and like I said again at 45K probably because 20 years went by.
The items I see of interest are:
Porsche factory European race software: Porsche Escort qualifying chips. (How good are these?)
Limited rear slip differential (I don't know if this is standard or an option?)
K&N Air Filter. (nothing big, but an upgrade)
But now I can proceed with things feeling comfortable with timing belt.

Run your cars vin for the options it was equip with from factory.

Thanks, I Book marked Rogue Tuning. Great idea on the buddying up with locals, may be a bit hard where I live, middle of Washington State with conservative farmers all around. But in Seattle there are plenty, have a good friend who has a Supercharged Boxster with racing suspension that he inters in auto crosses, etc.
Once I get set up with metric tools etc. I wouldn't be afraid to tackle it, but i looks like having a car lift would make things a lot easier. Need to buddy up with someone with a garage and lift! LOL
Thanks again!
