engine removal instructions?
#2
If you are doing it at home the best way would be to pull it from the top. This is easily accomplished with the hood left on the car! I have pulled/installed many engines this way without assistance. It is just too difficult to pull it from the bottom using jack stands. You also have to remove the crossmember, steering rack, etc.... and then put all that stuff back on and have your car aligned. If you pull the engine from the top none of this stuff is removed, just loosened enough to clear the oil pan. There is no need for an alignment(I am sure others will argue there is no need for an alignement doing it the other way if you mark some things with paint)I have been able to pull an engine in less then six hours by doing it this way.So I am definitely a beleiver in pulling it from the top.
