Hope you can help me was hi fi option m490 a option for the 951 in 1986? If yes, contains this the blaupunkt bea 80? And what is the difference with option m494?

Hope that this helps, although I dont understand what 2 speakers in the back shelf would mean?

Do you have an additonal amplifier? Either under the seats or in one of the rear wells?

I have done that also. But still I have the same questions because it isn't in my car. If it was a original option in 1986 for a 951 I go out to look for it. The m490 includes this the blaupunkt bea 80? I know it was with 10 speakers. The m494 option is realy a miracle, I mean 2 speakers on a shelf? In a 944? And than amplifier system? What does it mean? i have never seen a 944 or 951 with option m494. Thanks.

iirc 490 included a graphic equalizer under the head unit. I suppose it had a small amplifier in there also but no extra speakers. M494 was 10-speaker and not an option for your model. I'm assuming the 2 "shelf" speakers they refer to were the larger speakers fitted in the rear quarter panels.

Ok. Thanks. So I can forget about m494 because it was not a option for a 1986 951. (where can I find this info) I will go for option m490 than, is this only the eq blaupunkt bea 80?

So option m490 has the 4 speaker system? I only need the eq from blaupunkt to have option m490? Thanks.

My 1989 shows both the 490 & 494 option codes. I may have a spare BEA 80 if you need one.
