Post flushing

my hydralic system is completely empty. the brakes wont be bad to bleed but im not looking forward to the clutch master. what if i start with a good quality fluid to get it all working then switching to blue till it flushes thru. this way i can get a clean flush and then refill with blue without wasting a quart of the exspensive stuff.
any ideas?

With air into the top, by the time you get done with this exercise the last thing you will be thinking about is a few bucks of brake fluid. It will be more like down on your knees praying "Lord, just make it work this time and I will never take Your Name in vain or do anything else even remotely bad, just as long as it works this time."

Pressure bleeder is the way to go, but you got air in there, so still a problem.

The brakes are very easy. I even got a 3 year old nephew to take care of that without speed gizmos. The clutch slave is another matter since it has a designed in air pocket. That is the bitch.

You NEED the Motiv Power Bleeder. Pelican Parts sells them.

I've never had the hydralics completely dry but those speed bleeders rule!
I even replaced the bleeder valve on the slave with one. I had to drill and tap for 8 mm but it was worth it. The po had very nicely stripped the other bleeder so this was a great chance to try this. I replaced the clutch hose as well.
The biggest problem was making sure the speed bleeder was seated square in the hole. If it isn't (or you drill crooked) you have this annoying leak. I highly recomend a drill press.

Thumbs up

I second the Motive Products Power Bleeder. It works absolutely wonders. The best $40 I have invested on a car!

The power bleeder is "butta". Best tool I have in the box. Flushed the enitre system with ATE Super Blue in about 20 minutes, and have a perfect clutch and brake pedal. Well worth it. Check 928specialists.com. I got mine there for $25 and ATE super Blue for like $4 a quart. I got 5 quarts and will do 3 other cars with it soon it is so good. This will also help find a leak since it is under pressure and will cause the leak to be seen.
