My dashlights are out...everything; tach, speedo, clock, etc. I don't see any fuses out. However, I am one of the lucky early 944 owners with the fuseboxes with those convenient fusible link fuses. Is there a possibility of current hopping on that circuit and frying ALL of those little bulbs (sounds unlikely). Anyone have any ideas...a laundry list of possible causes would suffice.

 

try bridging out the dimmer in the headlight switch, if not that it is probably the contact in the headlight switch.

 

I'll try that tonight, Martin...thanks!! Not being able to see my speedo cost me getting a ticket this weekend...(well, it's sort of my scapegoat). Cops were out like no other Labor Day before in ol' North Carolina this weekend...Anyone else notice an excess of troopers??

 

Troopers!?!...301 was full of 'em from VA to NJ all weekend, NJ even had empty cars parked in the bushes all along the turnpike...ON TUESDAY!

 

Thanks for the input...The dimmer IS the culprit. If I "fiddle" w/it, the lights stay on, which will satisfy me until I feel like dropping $50+ on a new headlight switch...

...troopers are relentless...
