as with Tabor, my car is my daily and ONLY driver right now. i usually put on anywhere between 25-50miles a day depending on work. and the wife loves to drive it(thank God) except she has a difficult time engaging/releasing the handbrake!

i always look forward to my daily commute

Well it is a daily driver, but that is about to stop in a week or two and the car is being converted to track only use. Have the car set up for both was too much of a compromise. So the car is getting stripped down to fighting weight and taken off the road. Some day I hope to have another cream puff 951 as my daily driver, but until then it is going to have to be what ever tow vehicle I choose.

Mine too is a daily driver, about 50 miles a day. It's logged about 166,000 and still going strong. These cars are great!

99,000 mile daily driver. I f-ing hate traffic though, these cars are not the most exhilarating (but then again which cars are?) or comfortable at low speeds.

11 miles, that is; 4 hwy miles, 1 twistie, the rest suburbs, per day. Once in a while I take it out on the weekend, I have to be careful that it gets enough time at speed to avoid carbon build-up. Total 3k to 3.5k miles a year. Oh yeah...6 or 7 days worth of Autox miles too!

Daily driver, only driver. 20 miles max round trip on the freeway. The old Arroyo Parkway - the oldest "freeway" in the country. Made for 40 MPH. I don't race anyone....but no one keeps up on the curves, they all fall back - even the ricey boys and the big SUV's that for some reson always think they drive the sportiest things around!

Ok, I have to admit...NOT my daily driver. This one's for learning the ins and outs of the car. Next one is gonna be the pick of the litter.

Daily driver is a nice cushy Pontiac Bonneville...not very 944-ish in the least. Makes me appreciate aspects of the Porsche even more, though.

How many of you daily driver guys put 'em through stop and go, rush hour traffic? How do they hold up?

Mine is a daily driver. I even drive it from Nashville Tn, to the Northern VA when I go home from college. What realy makes it interesting is that I have Sparco fiber glass seats and 5 point harnes's. I also make the trip with my 3.5 month old puppy. Right now it is parked awaiting a rebuild. That just means I drive my 86 Jaguar XJS V12! Now thats a pimp car, even though parts seem to randomly fall off of it.(slow, but pimp )

Mines a daily driver, as you can tell from the 270000km on the clock! Except of course when it gets really snowy here, then I let the trams, or a taxi take the strain.

I think that i need to have a rethink of my transport situation with 3 'summer' drivers in the garage!

Nope. I only drive mine on Weekends and in good weather. As it says in my tag, I wrapped up a whole whopping 1,000 miles on the car in the last 12 months. I now have 78,000 total miles. It's a real bear to drive on New Orleans streets thus I keep it north of the lake. For everyday use I use either my 1994 Honda Civic (it never breaks) or my 1995 Nissan Altima (hardly ever breaks). The Nissan and Honda are the only reasons I can have the Porsche as they are reliable as can be and thus much appreciated.

I don't use my '86 951 as a daily driver, that duty belongs to my BMW 540i Sport 6spd. But I do drive the 951 enough to enjoy it. With that I have the liberty of working on the car and not having to rush and get it done. Like the SFR exhaust that Santa will bring and the Koni shocks and the MAF and the Garret turbo and the......got carried away. Like I said there is no rush, just big bills to pay.

Looks like mine is the only garage queen around. I only drive it on my days off. Commute to work via bicycle 365 days a year, in Colorado, no less. I guess all of my co-workers are right, i must be crazy.
