Got hit / WTB 951 nose panel (pics)
So....my neighbor backed into my freshly painted car...yay! He is denying doing it and my paint shop says they cant paint-less to damage away.
I was able to pull behind him later in the day and take these photos...He's trying to say another SUV pulled into the spot and hit me. *******...
Anyway...anyone have a 951 nose panel they aren't using? I'm going to take this jack-*** to small claims.

interesting, kinda looks like is tire is a tad lower than the damage but very possible could be the angle I'm seeing though. Any who good luck maybe give Lart a PM he usually has a couple in decent shape. Your panel doesn't seem to have sharp edges so I'd try popping it out on the back side.

He said a "BIG WHITE SUV" was waiting to take his spot....except no big SUV's have an external tire...and my street inst crowded enough for someone to be waiting for a spot.

How about giving those paintless dent removers a call to see if they can fix it?
I've seen the back side of the panel and there is a brace that may give the dent remover guys some challenge.
If not, why not just get it repaired or purchase a vented panel?

Bummer. Why is it these things happen right after we paint or repair them as opposed to just before Anyway, just looking at your pics, I'd try dry-ice to draw out the dent before trying mechanical repair. Looks like the metal is just stretched, with no sharp edges. Some Wal-marts sell it. Up front by the regular ice. Works great on light to moderate hail damage.

Right after I had my car painted, I had it torn apart in the driveway. I was gone on a business trip when it got pummeled by acorns. I tried to sue the squirrels, but got nowhere. Now I pay back their karma with a RWS P5 Magnum.

I'm getting it repainted, out of pocket....but I dont like someone just taking $400 from me. I thought my deductible was $100...but that was just for comprehensive. It's $500 for collision.
Turns out, there are only 3 models of SUV that have an external tire..one being a rav4. I'm going to get measurements of the other two w/ pictures for court. One is a giant Toyota...so there no way it was low enough.

I thought hummers had an external tire as well
Hopefully you get something in return, I can understand being frustrated especially if someone doesn't own up to they're mistake. I'm one of those guys that if you admit it and apologize then that's most the time enough.
