I did not say that all red lights were RICE.. I said that covering them with speed tape was RICE.
I think the all red lenses look very good on a red car, and that is why I plan on doing mine.. but doing it right by replacing the lens and not covering it.
Sill.. I ment to harm.

I'm going to try and tie several threads togehter here:
1) Buy a 968. (They have red lenses).
2) Transplant a pre '87 2.5L motor (Less compression).
3) Supercharge it (more power!).
4) Turbocharge it with MAFs, ARMs.... (more, more power!)
5) Buy widebody kit (can't have enough rubber!).
6) Put 385/20/20 tires on the rear.
There you have it. You can claim to have the most expensive, bastardized, worth nothing after you're done, Porsche front engined car around.
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. I do admire the guys who are trying to go to the limit. However, I think it gets a little too silly sometimes.

Here's the all-red pix. Yes, clear model paint works - I thought we've HAD this thread once or twenty-nine times! Anyway, if you want them -very lightly sand the amber lenses and use Testor's Clear Red - available at most hobby shops. My rice boy nephews have done it to my son't Camaro and it looks good - quality wise. It's just a matter of do you want it on your Porsche?
Crap. mine won't upload either. WTF? I loaded it and it asked me to "cut and paste" Cut what? Paste Where? Now if I try to upload again it tells me it already exists and can't be overwritten. I HATE computers when they don't bend to my will....which is to say ,all of the time Suggestions?

Perry, I know you from here that you're an ok guy, I knew you weren't being a jerk - I was just stating that sometimes people don't have the money to do it the absolute most expensive way, and finding ways out on your own is good sometimes.
Although, getting FAKE cross-drilled rotors becaus you can't afford them is a tad too far...

Exactly my point. I know the limited budget. I sacraficed a nice apartment to fix the 951.
Doing it the most expensive way is not always the best. Probably the best idea for the lowest cost is the Testors Transparent Paint.

I have to say, I'm usually against *any* body mods that wouldn't have been a factory option, or close to it, i.e. adding different porsche wheels, or an underbody wing, etc.
That said, the rear light (and handle) treatment on jrock's cab looks downright slick. It's hard to make things like that work, especially on a white car (I'm sure there's a white/rice joke in there somewhere) Good work!
