AC question
Recently, my AC starting blowing only cool air. I took it to my local mechanic and he tried to fill it through the fill place that faces up on the right side of the motor (looking at motor from the front). Well, now it only blows warm air. He doesn't know what happened. Does anyone know where to fill the AC? Was he filling it in the right place?

Steve the low pressure side fitting that you add refrigerant to is on the AC compressor, the fitting up by the shock tower is the high pressure side.I would question the expertise of a mechanic that does not know the difference between the two!

I've got two valves side by side there -- one is high side and the other low, and they're marked as such -- the Blue cap is marked L 2 and the Red cap is marked H 17. The low valve is on the fatter pipe.
My car's had a r134a conversion done, so perhaps this isn't the stock set-up? My car is an 86 NA.
