Water in car...again
Hi guys,
After 4 days of crazy rain, I went for a drive in my 84 944 only to realize that in the driver and passenger sides footwell there were small puddles of water. The carpets are all wet even 4 days later.
I had the same problem awhile back, and cleaned out the holes on the sunroof with the use of some compressed water. I got some particles out, and problem solved....however, the problem has returned.
There is no water elsewhere (on seats, etc..), so what could be causing water to enter the car? Can water be entering from underneath? Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks
Mike

I read the FAQ's before I bought my car, and remember something about the battery tray rusting, which would cause puddles in the passenger footwell. I got the link from Underwood's site. I think the rennlist site has a link to the FAQ's as well.

There are also two drain holes at the base of the windshield, one behind and to the left of the battery, and one behind and to the right of the fuse/relay box. If these are clogged this area will fill up with water and eventually enter the car though the vent intake that is located here under the plasic tray.
I have had mine clogged with pine needles when the car was parked under some trees and it got the passenger footwell fairly wet.
