Then you also changed your post as well? Obviously you can understand the confusion here, right?

Luke, let us know how much it costs for the anodizing. Post pics too...before/after if you would be so kind.......
The heat wont matter a bit. Look at all the other motor parts out there on other cars that are coated and hold up just fine. Sounds like a great idea.
Good luck.

RENNTAG,
Yes I understand the confusion. It was a joke. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" /> I guess my humor just isn't that funny .
I am getting my intake man. cam shaft housing, and the aluminum gaurd around the distributor anodised for $50. It's good stuff too.

I'm going to powder coat my intake manifold (as well as a bunch of other stuff) next week...mainly for cosmetic reasons, as well as making it easier to clean. I am going to do my camshaft housing next time I have to replace the timing belt (or head gasket) too. I'm going to try to snag my dad's crappy digital camera so I can snap off a bunch of before and after shots of my car and all the stuff I am doing. Best of luck...

If anyone is still reading,,how about some temp readings;
Ambient Temp: 54°
Car was in the garage @idle untile the temp needle moved off cold.
Car was driven for about 20 minutes, left it running at the marina for about 5 minutes, drove it home, parked it in the garage, opened the hood, and got the laser temp.
intake : runners 88-92°
flats between runners 101-103°
head : just under 1&2 190°
water pump: 178°
turbo hot side: 452°
down pipe: 438°
exhaust manifold:
exit point: 510-542° increasing from 1-4
4 being the hottest
shielded exhaust: 418-462°
exhaust joined : 585-600°
Just for calibration the gun and the gauge in my freezer were 2° apart.
FYI
