For your information...

I am getting ready to change the rear main engine seal (radial sealing ring) on my 951 and I called the local Porsche authorized dealer for pricing on some of the additional seals/rings I will have to replace along the way.

Anyhow, I also asked for pricing on a new water pump (I am also planning to change belts, rollers, and might as well change the pump since I am there).

Here is the interesting part… they tell me that NEW pumps are no longer manufactured. The part number that I gave him is correct (951 106 021 08) but it will be a remanufactured unit (at a lower price, of course).

So.....does that mean that ONLY re-manufactured factory pumps will be available,or are all the ones from parts suppliers rebuilt from "cores" and are there no quality aftermarket pumps??? Thanks for the update, Jim H
