Alarm control module

Alarm control module
My 1990 928s4 is having intermittent nonstart problems (no power tofuel pump, no spark). I suspect the alarm control module 928 637 104 03. I understand that this is the same part number as used in 944's. If so i will swop modules between my 944 and 928 to see if the problem stays with the 928 or migrates with the module to the 944.
My questions are:
1 is anyone able to confirm that a 1989 2.7 litre 8-valve 944 does indeed have this same control module;and
2. If so where is it located? (I am away so can't just open the hood fora look amongst all the other relays).
Thanks very much for any assistance

I've not yet bridged pins 1 and 3 of the alarm module housing to see if that will allow the 928 to start. A number of reasons for not having done so. 1. I am reluctant to do so lest I fry some electrics. 2 there seems some doubt whether I also need to bridge pins 7 and 8. 3 the car has started properly the last 20 times or so so it is possible that by replacing the relay 928 637 160 00 I have already solved the problem.
What I was hoping to do was put the questionable 928 control module into my ultra reliable 944 and see if my 944 remained reliable or became unreliable. If the latter then I could always swop back in the original 944 control module back into my 944 to get me home. And that would have been a simple and safe way of forensic diagnosis.
But this cunning plan won't work if my 1989 2.7 944 (not s2) has a different non 92863710403 control module. Bugger
