I drove my car in the snow all the time, you just need to know how to do it. The only problem is the other people.

Bahumbug.

My 944 is up on blocks this week, new master cylinder going in. Hopefully, there won't be snow sticking on the ground by the time I get it out. (tomorrow?) But I intend to drive it till the snow is sticking.

Guess it'll be a good time to put a new clutch in it. Now just got to get a good garage situation....

I tell ya, there's just something wrong with frozen water falling from the sky... especially if it makes you need to hide your cars! agh!!! Don't worry, I'll think about all of you as I'm driving mine in the nice cool 70 degree january days... hehehehehe

Tell you what. You can keep your southern California and bad air and traffic jams. I'll keep my clear air, 100+ mph autobahns, and if I say, ding my fender, I can go to any junkyard and get a new one for $25. For that matter, I can get another 944 for $3500.

Sure S C is nice, but so is Paris, Berlin and Milan.

No sir, you can keep your southern California. I can live with a little snow.

No, even though I bitch, I love it here.

Grew up in Wisconsin. Lived in S-F, CA for one summer, didn't like it, moved back.

Moved to Oregon, lived in Portland for 5 years. Missed the change of the seasons, the roll of the land, the plants and animals and sky I grew up with... moved back.

I complain, but this is my place, I'm like a plant that won't thrive anywhere else. My spirit is here.

So I have to put the Porsche away until spring...big deal. Think of how fun it will be when I get it out again!

Ah, lovely SoCal.... earthquakes, brush fires that take out neighborhoods, mud slides that do likewise, areas of smog that you can serve on a plate, too many people with too little space & roads... yep, makes our occasional snow or ice storms look plumb pleasant...

Jim, everybody's gotta be somewhere, I guess...
