Default Caster block...complication

Ok so I have just gotten new caster blocks and sofar I am at a loss for how to get the old ones off it seemed simple enough a couple bolts and it should slide right off, well....that is not what is happening! any help is greatly apprechiated

If looks like you are trying to install a late caster block, on an early car.... Only way that will work is if you replace the whole control arm with the aluminum ones from an 85.5 or 86.

Anyways... a big punch and a hammer should make short work of the remaining bushing.

I know some people are using the 968 caster blocks with the steel control arms... paging Brent!

Indeed it is an 84 944> so I must replace the whole control arm?.... Someone has had to of figured out how not to do that....if not, Anyone have 85 or 86 control arms taking up precious space and need to get rid of them?
