Post Call me simple but...

I'm having issues with my floor mats. I have no idea how to attach them to the...well, the floor. Here is the picture of what I'm working with. I don't see anyplace to attach that clippy-dealie.

Am I just too simple or am I missing a piece?

No answers here, I just have cheapo aftermarket floormats which although not ugly, just sit there and get moved about by my feet.

the little clips(2 metal prong side) fit into the rail the seat slides along, then carpets plug into plastic clop on the other end

Yes, the clips must be compressed, then inserted into the holes that are in the forward end of the seat mounting rail. You will need to compress the wire, insert in one hole, twist so the second wire half goes in the second hole, and allow it to decompress. It is hard to do. I was made irritable by the process.
