Matt, That is (was, I guess) one fine-looking 924S. It reminds me of why the 924 was such a popular car in its day.
All... If you can stick to paints intended for automotive use, you'll probably be happier in the long run. While the wheels don't get the kind of sun exposure the roof does, there's all that road crap, oil, tar, etc. that gets on them, along with brake dust. Model car & some other types of paints may not hold up too well in that environment. Having said that, the Krylon I used on the PD's on my '88 looked great 5+ years afterwards.
Jim, up 'way too dang early....

Thanks Matt and others for the thoughts on using oprdinary spray can silver. I also think it would be a LOT easier with the tires off the rims. But I also wonder if re-mounting the tires on a typical tire store mounting machine will scrape up the edge of the rim. Anyone have any experience with this? Or just let the paint/clear coat dry as l-o-n-g as possible (cure) and hope for the best/touch up what gets mesed up?
P.S. Uggh, sorry to hear this 924 is no longer alive. What the hell happened? It loks SO friggin clean and well take care of.

I had my caps hand painted by the person mentioned in Sprewell's post.
The caps arrived today and the results are.....GREAT! I'm very pleased with the whole job - fast turnaround, and the artist (Melissa) was always available via email. She return shipped via Priority Mail, and they arrived in two days.
With my caps, she actually removed the old paint first, and then applied the new paint.
All in all, a very good experience and a very cost effective exterior upgrade.
I have no affiliation with the business; just a satisfied customer.
