Default driveshaft won't turn can't get transmission out

my transmission is blown and with the clutch pedal depressed the couple move only a tiny bit before locking up. I got the bolt on the torque tube site out but I can't get the bolt on the transmission site out because the coupler won't turn enough to face the opening for me to get a wrench on it. I turn it as close as I can but is facing 90 degrees from the inspection hole (or a bit more.). I can get a socket on it but not a wrench

not sure what to do now. the transmission I'm pretty sure won't clear with the coupler on the transmission end.

i'm thinking of trying a flex head wrench on the allen head socket or a really short wrench and getting my hand in there but the bolts are fairly tight I doubt I can get it loose with just a short wrench on it inside the bell housing.

I think I might be screwed.....

I haven't done it myself, but I was under the impression that you could drop the entire rear end with the torque tube attached.

Remove the rear suspension and drop the transmission/TT as one piece.

I'll try getting a tiny wrench into the inspection hole and put it on the allen head socket and try that. you think that might work? I don't think I"m strong enough to loosen it with one hand and ilk ea 5 inch long wrench on the socket.....

I don't know if it would work, but is there enough elasticity in the engine mounts to let the engine/TT tilt enough for you to pull the transmission off the TT shaft? You would have to remove all the bracketry running along the TT above the exhaust, but it may be an option.

Rotate the engine by the crank bolt to rotate the shaft.

I think his issue is that the transmission is seized.

Good news! got the bolt out and slide the coupler on the transmission side.

I tried again and got someone to step on the clutch pedal and the shaft spun. I don't know why before it was just spinning a bit and getting stuck. i'm sure I had it in neutral.

hopefully my problem was my transmission. i'm installing a new one because my rear wheels seized all of a sudden. my car would move forward a for or so and lock up

It's a good feeling when something like this happens and you can finally overcome it. Glad you got it apart.
