Default so, what about a high mileage 85 NA

I bought an 85.5 NA new, drove it for about 250K miles and gave it to my brother in 2000. I now have the car back - he didn't drive it much and he didn't repair body damage either - so now I have a kinda crunchy looking 944 with lots of miles that runs - I put a factory new trans in it at about 200K, replaced the clutch once (around 150K), and I have all the records and know the car well. I replaced ball joints because it was getting sloppy a few months ago. But it has a broken windshield, bad upholstery, and it need body work, it needs the hatch resealed, and it's leaking oil (again). what to do, what to do - part it out? fix it up? drive it until it dies?

Strip the interior, go for a maximum lightweight type of thing and drive the hell out of it.

Try junkyards or Porsche dismantlers to get some nice interior and/or body panels.

Not much you can do about the windshield, either tolerate it or shell out the bucks. I hear Safelite does a good job with 944 windshields.

Hatch reseal - just fix the leak with silicone and leave it at that.

Oil leak - don't park in nice driveways.

Keep on enjoying it! (i.e. drive it into the ground!)
