951 has funny engine problem
Has anyone else had this problem? Or know what might be causing it?
My 951 has a "hiccup." It will make the car buck when the rpm's are anywhere between the 2000-3000 range. After 3000 it does not happen.
I've had all belts, including the timing belt replaced and the timing set, ALL water and air hoses have been replaced, the air filter has been cleaned and is in great shape, and I have checked scrupulously for a vacuum leak anywhere in the system.
If the problem is electrical, I don't know where to start. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be?

Sounds like my old RX-7 (all of them did it) where it would switch from the primary to secondary fuel injectors and the car would "pause" for a split second. 3rd gen RX-7s are known to do this too. Try kicking the floor on the passenger side to shake up the DME a bit. Otherwise, I would start going over your ignition wires and connections from the DME to the coil, etc.

Sounds exactly like what happened in my 951 when the throttle position sensor went.
There was a "dead spot" at just about 2500 RPM. If I pushed the pedal past that point I could drive it fine. Made for high-perf take-offs!
Replaced the TPS, problem gone.

hi my car started to do this as well a couple of days ago. I thought it was the fuel injectors and used chevron techron to clean them up. I did this last night and it seems to run a little better but its not right yet. I was wondering if you fixed this yet. and if you didn't i would appreciate knowing what didn't work so i don't make the same mistake. I appreciate your help.
