Turbo Cup Mods -[ Help for a friend please ]-
My friend has a Turbo Cup (247HP). He has 0 mods on it and says he gives a C5 a damn good run for it's money from 50MPH. I'm trying to help him have a more competitive time off the line with them though. He lives in another state by the way. What are some mods?

Lindsey Boost Enhancer or any ole boost controller. I've heard good things about the Joe P Boost controller ($50 I think). They'll help to bring the boost on at lower RPM's. Also a chip will mess with the fuel maps, timing and remove the boost limiter. The new fuel map would allow him to run higher boost. The autothroity stage 2 setup comes with a jetted banjo bolt that brings peak boost to 14psi or so.

The link you give shows pictures of race cars in the "944 Turbo Cup" area. I believe only one of them is possibly an actual Turbo Cup car (Rothman's.. red/white/blue)
The 247HP 951 is the 88 951S and 89 951. Turbo Cup cars had more HP and a slew of other mods... compare them to the likes of the GT3R (not RS) offered from Porsche today. Does your friends 951 have the Cup exhaust... i.e. no cat, SS 4" all the way back. None of this is really relevant to the topic of HP mods... just curious... because these cars are rare, especially in the US.
