Stock up on industrial strength bandaids and plan on at least 5 items that won't come apart without the use of low yield nukes

All true . The first one is the hardest so they say.

There is also the associated items. Probably time to look at torque tube bearings and that unless you know they were replaced. You know " while you are in there ."

I bought a tranny jack at Harbor Freight and it made all the difference. I also used jack stands. I got real lucky when I found an 86 spring clutch complete package on ebay that had been just installed and the car had gotten totalled. The clutch didn't even have dust on it. I got it for $100! After I was finished, I sold the tranny jack for what I paid for it. Sweet, no?
