VDO gage hits hood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
the gage was tapped on center perfectly but the hood hits the very top edge of the gage and dented my hood, now what do i do? do i retap it at a slight angle? or forget this and get some fuelline hose then add the gage on in a different spot? it hit the very end top of the vdo gage and like melted or sanded it down about 1/2 of a mm or less but it def. cause my hood dent, im pissed now, how the heck didnt everyone else get a hood dent? again i installed the 1/8 in tap on center by a general motors 40 year techie who did a mint job on it for me but i dindt know the hood hits it like that, i got no foam insulation on the hood so i know the hood is being hit as its also sanded and melted to steel in that ding spot on the underside, the topside shows a dime sized welt im so pissed

Be careful with your rail-mounted fuel pressure gauge. If you hit a bump, and the hood presses down hard on the gauge, you could end up with a fuel leak on top of a hot engine.
I would recommend attaching a hose and mounting the gauge in a safer place.
