Default radiator nipple- is it broken?

Yesterday as I was replacing my radiator hoses, the hose above the upper radiator hose came off and won't go back in. 944online refers to this part as the "radiator nipple". Is this what it is supposed to look like or are there threads still broken off in the radiator?

Yah Kyle that one is broken. The threaded section should be about 15mm long. Find an easy-out sized for the nipple opening and back it out.

Thanks. I'll try to get it out with a screwdriver.

A large screwdriver will work, use an exacto to cut a ridge on either side.

Happened to me while driving. I had it towed to the closest "Import Shop". They swore that there was no separate nipple and they had to replace the whole radiator. I said "wait a bit, I need to find money", bought the part, went out and fixed it in their yard and bought the coolant from them for $20 to refill.

I have never seen a shop owner so pissed off......
