Post Another bad idler :(

For everybody with idling problems, I feel your pain! I just finished a complete engine rebuild (over the summer)on my early '85 944. Idle is terrible and when down shifting or taking foot off the gas, rpms shoot down to 800 almost instantly.

I think is is the auxillary air sensor,(the one located under the intake manifold, right between the the center two spark plugs).

It also seems to be lacking power, esspecially in low rpms and between 3000 and 3500 in every gear I've never driven a new 944 though, so I don't know what it is supposed to feel like.

I had this problem and just adjusted my idle up so this wasn't an issue.
