Exclamation Rear clip replacement-help wanted!!!!!!!!

I am replacing the rear clip on my car (I have an entire parts car). I need professional advice on where to have the car cut. (I do not want to affect the rear rails and suspension mounting points). The body shop wants to cut the car in half at the window pillars and rocker panel area !!!!!!!!
I see project cars out there that look like they have had the rear cut off leaving the back rail section intact
Is there a 944 body professional out there that can give me some guidance before the cutting begins? Anyone know of a racing professional that has an understanding of the 944 body structure? I do not want to end up with a flexi-flyer with poor handling. I need a rock solid and stable
race car!
