Post Is there a good junkyard near Scottsdale AZ?

I'm going to be in Scottsdale over Xmas and was thinking of going prowling around a junkyard in search of some nice, well-preserved parts to bring back to New England.

Is there a nice, big foreign car junkyard anywhere near Scottsdale AZ where you can go pull your own parts? Naturally, one with Porsches in it.

Thanks,

Bryan

From what I've heard, I don't think they even have trash in Scotsdale.

20Th Street Auto located on the Northwest corner of 20th St. and Jefferson 602-258-2020.
I get most of my used parts for my 911 and 944 there. I even bought the 944 from them.
Good selection and prices.

Hope that this helps, Threesticks.

Thanks - is 20th Street Auto the kind of place you can show up and go pull parts off cars? Up here, there are a couple junkyards where you just show up with tools, walk out into the yard, look around for cars like yours, and pull off the parts you want. Then you take them in to the desk, tell them what they came off of, pay them, and be on your way. This is what I had in mind because I'm mainly after a bunch of little stuff.

Larry usually lets you walk out and scavange for what you want just as you said. They're pretty busy most days, but If you want they'll pull and have the big stuff delivered for you. I think they will also do glass installs. Got some deals there, Great place.
