Removing exhaust stud, advice welcome.
Removed the outside manifold to get a decent look. Stud is broke below the head. Anyone used a angle drill adapter from home depot for this? Looking for a source for a couple of reverse drill bits local as well with no luck so far.
Advice welcome.

If you have a MIG welder, weld a nut to the bolt (I've done this, even with bolts broken off below the surface).
Here is a quick video (from Van!) showing this process:

Michael,
l've found the right angle drill adapters to be awkward, difficult to control when you need to be more precise. I purchased a Craftsman right angle drill to remove the snapped front upper A/C compressor bolt. With the left handed bit it backed out without needing an extractor.
I think I will buy this combo extractor/ left handed bit set, 2729A46 and metal case, 27475A16... McMaster Carr.
Can't remember who borrowed my set, so I need a replacement.
If I had a welder, I'd follow Van's path.
Good luck sir!
